A new video platform aimed at creators
Framerate.tv is a new creator-first video platform founded by Tyler Williams, the co-founder of Motion Array.
Built in response to Vimeo being sold to Bending Spoons, Framerate is an attempt to bring back what many filmmakers and motion designers loved about the “old Vimeo” era, clean presentation, genuine discovery, and a community centred around the work itself.
Designed specifically for animators, VFX artists, editors and storytellers, it combines portfolio hosting, client-ready embeds and curated discovery, while taking a strong stance on protecting artists’ work from AI training and resale. The goal isn’t to compete with YouTube, it’s to rebuild a focused home for high-quality video craft.
At its core, Framerate puts the work front and centre. The homepage highlights trending videos and, importantly, trending creators, giving artists visibility as individuals, not just as isolated uploads. Instead of burying talent behind engagement hacks, the platform surfaces the people behind the projects, making it easier to follow studios, directors and animators whose work you genuinely admire. It leans into curation and momentum within the creative community itself, rather than chasing viral metrics.
Combined with clean watch pages, time-coded comments, customisable embeds and clear protections around artist rights and AI usage, Framerate is positioning itself as part portfolio tool, part discovery engine and part creative home.
